About Me
I began my professional health-care career as a certified, registered, and licensed Respiratory Therapist. One of my first positions allowed me to work as an ECMO specialist at the University of Michigan Hospital. As a part of this pioneering work, I participated in the development of a last-chance, experimental treatment that gave premature babies in desperate shape a chance to survive. Later, I worked in intensive care, critical care, and neonatal units in several hospitals in Southeastern Michigan. Finally, I headed up one of Michigan’s largest Pulmonary Rehabilitation Units through the St. Joseph Mercy Health System.
My career took a permanent turn when I was derailed by a personal healing crisis that left me very sick, exhausted, and dying. After seeking help through traditional medicine – the very system that I was trained in and trusted - I was disheartened to find that no one could give me answers. Desperate for healing, I sought help from a holistic healer. Though I had no earthly idea what to expect, I showed up to my first appointment an empty vessel. As I sat in her office, I knew I had found the missing piece. I left that appointment with a variety of homeopathic, herbal, and flower essence remedies along with an inner spiritual awakening. Within 12 hours of that initial visit, many of my symptoms were gone.
In less than a year, I left conventional medicine to dive into the world of alternative healing. I apprenticed with a holistic physician, attended Johns Hopkins University, and studied with many healers along the way. I attained status as a Naturopathic Doctor and Certified Master Herbalist. I also became certified in Reiki, Healing Touch, Quantum Energetics, Homeopathy, and Flower Essence Therapy.
Currently, I practice as a holistic healer and educator. I believe that everyone's deepest desire is to be whole and there are many paths to getting there. I am passionate about teaching and empowering people to find the path that is right for them to achieve vibrant health naturally.
